Provides work experience opportunities for unemployed individuals who need a job placement to overcome barriers identified in their Employment Action Plan. Employers pay wages and are reimbursed at the rate of minimum wage plus benefits for up to 40 hours per week for the duration of the placement.
Who qualifies
Unemployed NB residents aged 18 or older who have been out of education for at least six months and have an Employment Action Plan; employers can be non‑profits, municipalities, provincial departments, private businesses or First Nations; job placements must not displace permanent employees.
